The apartment comes with an additional 600 sqft finished shared attic space (a total of 2000 sqft of space for only 3 people!). All the common areas will be furnished, but your room will be unfurnished.
The huge and well maintained apartment has 2 floors:
1 living room + 3 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms on the main floor (your bedroom will be on this floor), and
1 living room + 1 bathroom on the attic floor (attic floor furniture has been updated since the photos to include a home gym and guest bed for occasional friends)
The closest bathroom to your room is in the hallway and shared with 1 housemate. The additional 3rd bathroom upstairs means you never need to wait for bathroom availability. There's also plenty of storage space throughout the apartment. No parking in the building, but past housemates have been able to park on the street pretty easily.
ABOUT THE ROOM:
The available bedroom is 13' 4" by 11' 7" bedroom for $1900. It'll easily fit a queen bed, a desk, a dresser, and whatever else you might have!
The room is rented UNFURNISHED. We've included photos of 2 different furnishing configurations for this bedroom so you can better visualize how it looks: one with a queen bed, one with a queen bed + a desk + a dresser (and lots of additional space).
We are open to furnishing the room with a queen bed and a desk if you can commit to a 18+ month lease.
ABOUT THE HOME:
Well-lit home with traditional Edwardian details like 10' ceilings, recently remodeled and offers everything: light from all sides, skylights, ideal layout with open living room, incredible landscaped north facing yard, garage with storage and bike parking. At the heart of the home is the chef’s kitchen with granite island which opens to the spacious living room with a cozy gas fireplace, and sunny rear dining room with rebuilt stairs to the beautifully landscaped rear yard.
This is a modern home with passcode/fingerprint locks (never need to carry keys again), heat pump AC and heater (you’ll be comfortable year-round), 20 solar panels (we like the environment), a 65” Samsung Frame TV, Nest thermostat and smoke detectors, Toto bidets, and new West Elm/Article/EQ3 furniture in a mix of mid-century modern and industrial style. The common spaces will be fully furnished and the kitchen has most of the appliances you’ll need (but you are welcome to bring your own too).
The shared attic space now includes a new Concept2 rower, a dumbbell rack, Yoga mats, and a Queen size guest bed for your occasional guests to stay in (no additional guest fees).
The landscaped north facing yard is protected from wind and boasts amazing afternoon sun, beautiful succulents, a sectional seating area with a natural gas fire pit at the center, an outdoor dining set that fits 6, cafe-style string lights, and dedicated service entrance. Perfect for hosting friendly gatherings and summer outdoor movie nights.
Washer/dryer in the garage (1 flight of stairs). Bicycle storage is also available in the garage. No parking in the building, but past housemates have been able to park on the street pretty easily.
The home is 100% solar powered! All utilities (e.g. electricity, gas, internet) are shared evenly by everyone who lives there (around $100 per person per month). Internet provider is Sonic Fiber and lightning fast (between 100Mbs and 400Mbs depending on where you are in the apartment) for all your work from home needs.
We would get cleaners and split the cost evenly amongst everyone who lives here which comes out to ~$110 per person. In between cleaner sessions, we each do our part to keep our home clean.

ABOUT THE PEOPLE:
Primary Bedroom: I (Angela) am in my early 30s, former YC founder, currently working as an engineer at a small startup. I like to host small dinners at home from time to time, but rarely large parties. Outside of work, I like to ride my motorcycle, work out (currently training for a half ironman in May), cook 1-2 times a week, and go to fun/artsy events in the area. I have a very food motivated Rottweiler dog named Mack that I’ve had since 2018. Mack has always lived with housemates with no issues.
West Bedroom: Katie is also in her mid 30s and currently works as a PM. Katie and I (Angela) have known each other since college and lived together before. She's super clean, organized, thoughtful, and kind. I have literally never met anyone who doesn't love Katie immediately.
East Bedroom: AVAILABLE
PETS: You'll also be living with my very friendly, very easy going 80lb dog Mack. If you are allergic to or dislike pets, this listing is probably not for you. The apartment is pet friendly as long as your pet (1) can coexist with Mack ($50 additional pet rent required, only 1 pet allowed) and (2) is housebroken and well-trained.
