V-Day is looking for an Assistant to support our San Francisco-based Executive Director.

V-Day is a global activist movement to end violence against all women and girls (cisgender, transgender, and those who hold fluid identities that are subject to gender based violence). In the face of resistance and at the intersection of art and activism, V-Day activists have raised over $100 million for local anti-violence groups. The ONE BILLION RISING campaign, launched by V-Day on Valentine’s Day 2012, began as a call to action based on the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 women on the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. It has galvanized over one billion women and men on a global day of action to bring the issue of violence against women and girls front and center. One Billion Rising made visible, volatile and impacting connections between violence against women and economic, environmental, racial and gender injustice. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, V-Day helped found and supports the City of Joy, a revolutionary center for women survivors of gender violence. V-Day is one of the Top-Rated organizations on Charity Navigator and Guidestar. Visit onebillionrising.org, cityofjoycongo.org, vday.org.
