Cataloguing, scanning and photographing art and antiquarian books. Part time. Flexible schedule.
Suitable for an antiquarian, retired librarian or academic. Should have another primary source of income.

Duties:
Catalogue new, used and antiquarian books, prints, art and ephemera
using Filemaker Pro.
Scan and photograph (larger) items and edit images using Adobe Photoshop.
Required:
Experience using Macs, FileMaker or other database software; Adobe Photoshop.
Reading knowledge of one or more foreign languages.
Experience using a scanner, digital camera and simple image editing. We have a very fast scanner.
Desirable:
Experience cataloging in a bookstore, gallery or library.
Knowledge of book and graphics terminology, e.g., the difference between a wood-engraving, lithograph, copper engraving and half-tone.
Experience with antiquarian books and old prints.
