The Boba Barista / Tea Specialist is the face of District Tea, responsible for crafting high-quality drinks, delivering exceptional customer service, and creating a welcoming community vibe. This role blends drink artistry, efficiency, and hospitality in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare boba tea, milk tea, fruit teas, and specialty drinks consistently to District Tea standards
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide menu recommendations
• Operate POS system and handle cash/card transactions
• Maintain cleanliness of bar, prep areas, and customer-facing spaces
• Prep ingredients (tea brewing, boba cooking, fruit prep, toppings)
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines
• Support team members during busy hours and contribute to a positive work culture
Qualifications
• Friendly, positive attitude with strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and consistency in drink-making
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Prior boba, coffee, or food service experience preferred (but not required—we train!)
