Maintenance Manager (San Francisco)

compensation: Competitive Compensation, Health Benefits, Vacation, Floating Holidays, and 401(k) Match

The position is a full-time, exempt role reporting directly to the Property Manager. The position involves ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents and visitors. The Maintenance Manager provides leadership and support for approximately 6 - 8 staff members and is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, cleaning, and preventative maintenance of the apartment community.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise and direct maintenance and cleaning technicians
• Scheduling and completion of all work on vacant units
• Oversight of plumbing, electrical and all other building systems
• Inspect buildings and grounds to assure of properly functioning equipment
• Prioritize, monitor and direct scheduling of all service personnel and follow-up upon completion
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding maintenance procedures
to ensure more efficient management of maintenance operations
• Order parts, materials and maintain stock and inventory control
• Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians
• Manage all emergency services and maintain an emergency plan
• Comply with all applicable codes and regulations of all governmental agencies having jurisdiction

Helpful Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must be customer service orientated, professional and approachable
• Strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of new construction and hi-rise mechanical systems preferred
• Understanding of blueprints a plus
• Leadership and team building skills
• Strong computer knowledge
• Completion of SF High Rise safety programs preferred or provided
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills and ability to establish and maintain effective relationships
• Flexible and efficient time management skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in building operations, engineering, and equipment and
systems maintenance
