CMA Development is a boutique SF-based general contractor specializing in high-end residential remodels and additions. We're looking for an experienced Site Superintendent who can also work as a hands-on foreman, someone equally comfortable running the schedule and leading the crew from the front, not just managing from a distance but in it with them every day.
This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for a seasoned pro who has already built beautiful, complex homes at a high level and knows what that demands. If you've been doing high-end residential for years and are ready to trade the noise and bureaucracy of a larger operation for a firm where craft is taken seriously, decisions get made quickly, and your experience actually shapes how the work gets done, this is worth a look.
This is a planning-first role. You'll own jobsite operations, coordinate trades, manage sequencing, and keep projects moving, but you also need to be comfortable leading the crew through the work, not just overseeing it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Run day-to-day field operations across active high-end residential projects
- Build and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the PM team; develop look-aheads to stay ahead of the work
- Coordinate subs, deliveries, inspections, and site logistics
- Lead and work alongside the crew hands-on daily, this role requires someone who can direct the work and do the work
- Maintain daily logs, site photos, and documentation (JobTread, CompanyCam, Slack)
- Communicate professionally with owners, architects, and inspectors
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- 5+ years as a Site Superintendent on high-end residential projects in the SF Bay Area
- Proven ability to manage multiple active projects
- Comfortable working as both a planner and a hands-on field leader
- Strong sequencing, trade coordination, and communication skills
- Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation
PAY & BENEFITS
- $125,000-$150,000/year (W-2, based on experience)
- Health insurance contribution
- Car and phone allowance
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- $500 annual continuing education reimbursement
- Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start; local Bay Area travel required
If you're a seasoned residential field leader ready for a role where your experience and judgment are actually valued, we want to hear from you. Reply with your resume and a brief note about your background.
