Sporcle Events is hiring trivia hosts!
Sporcle Events is the largest trivia company in the country offering in-person events at bars and restaurants. We are seeking hosts to deliver our content and engage with players and venue staff.
What does a trivia host do?
Our hosts deliver fun and lively trivia events at an assigned venue every week, on the same day at the same time. We supply the questions; you bring the personality!
Important things to note:
We are looking for serious applicants only, and we want to hire immediately.
This is a PART-TIME position, starting one evening per week for approximately 3 hours.
(Note: We do not offer seasonal/summer employment.)
Hosting trivia is fun, but we want to set you up for success. You will receive paid training on how to do things the Sporcle way.
Sporcle thrives on consistency – your regular presence helps build relationships with players and the venue. You are expected to commit to hosting for at least six months.
In addition to hosting, you may be asked to promote your event through word-of-mouth and social media to help grow your audience.
What are the qualifications? You must:
BE 21+ (Not 20 and 2 months. Twenty-one. 18+3.)
Have a personality. If your personality was surgically removed at birth, please do not apply.
Have a working laptop with a working HDMI port.
Have an ad-free subscription to Spotify/Apple Music.
We’re also looking for:
Someone punctual and reliable. We want people who take pride in showing up and making the most of their presence.
Once more with feeling! You’ll be the star of your own show, and we’re looking to hire someone who can commit to hosting for 6 months or more. Some of our hosts have been working for us for years – some for a decade or more!
Be comfortable speaking in front of others or talking to strangers. If people or groups make you itch, this isn’t the gig for you. If you’re looking to “overcome” a fear of public speaking, this isn’t the place to start. We are looking for fearless folks with built-in flair!
Be able to transport equipment (weighing approximately 35 pounds).

What's a HireVue?
HireVue is our video interview tool. You'll answer a few questions (that you'll receive in advance) highlighting why you’d be a good trivia host. We don’t just want people who can read well. This is your chance to show us your personality (again, please have one) and how much fun you’d be as a host for Sporcle.
What's the pay?
New hosts earn $80-105 per 3-hour event (host pay increases based on average event participation). There are opportunities to earn more by hosting additional weekly, private, and themed events!
