CONDITION: This computer should provide many years of reliable service. The interior and exterior of the case are in excellent condition. There are no scratches, dents, stickers, or fingerprints on it. There are no missing or damaged rubber feet. It comes from a non-smoking environment. The fan is quiet, making this PC unobtrusive in operation. Includes AC power cable. Does not include monitor, keyboard, or mouse (sorry).
UPGRADES: The original slow mechanical hard drive has been replaced with a 256GB 2.5" SATA SSD, and there's a fresh legal installation of Windows 11 Pro v24H2 on that SSD. It comes with four 4GB DDR4 memory DIMMs for a total of 16GB. There is an empty internal drive bay with cables that can accept either a 3.5" SATA HDD or another 2.5" SATA SSD. The memory, CPU, and SATA SSD are all installed in sockets, and can be upgraded in the future if desired. Although this is not strictly a gaming-class PC, there is an unused PCIe slot that can accept a low-profile video card such as an nVidia GTX 1030 or 1050, which would enable it to support some medium-intensity gaming. You will be able to easily add wireless capability to this computer with an inexpensive USB WiFi adapter.
Is this Optiplex for you?: This Dell would be excellent for anyone wants a highly affordable compact desktop PC running Windows 11, and plans to use it for daily activities. It will be great for web surfing, documents, video streaming, music, photo storage, and any other medium-duty task. It's worth noting that this PC has a working CD/DVD +/-RW drive and Gigabit Ethernet. Due to the new SATA SSD, this Dell can perform daily tasks nearly as fast as a new $900 Optiplex at a fraction of the cost. For example, Windows 11 boots to the password screen from power off in around 6 or 7 seconds.
