Wellness Spa in the Marina/Cow Hollow neighborhood is hiring a Spa Coordinator/Receptionist to work 3 days/week. Must be available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays 10-6. The ideal person is somewhat health conscious as we are promoting wellness as a lifestyle. We offer massage, facials and body treatments. Previous retail or spa experience is preferred as we have products and a POS system that is similar to those used in a retail environment.
Must have a welcoming disposition, want to provide the highest level of service to our clients, the ability to multi-task, experience with accurate cash handling, comfortable with technology, likes to do laundry and maintain a professional work environment, keeping the waiting area and restroom stocked and clean, support smooth operations of the spa and a strong desire to learn about the products and treatments.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide a welcoming experience to clients, check them in, out and book them with accuracy and ease.
• Answer phone calls in a friendly and professional manner, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work cooperatively with the spa team to maintain high levels of service and ease work-flow.
• Must be able to coordinate, book, reschedule and cancel appointments accurately.
• Must be able to learn the descriptions of the spa treatments and prices to best explain and provide options to clients.
• Maintain a clean and stocked reception area, bathroom and kitchen.
• Maintain continuous flow of laundry - putting it in the washer, dryer, folding and putting it away.
• Take out trash as needed.
• Come to work as scheduled, on time and takes breaks accordingly.
• Must be able to learn the spa software system.
• Maintain client confidentiality and input client in-take forms.
• Secure credit card information on the POS and accurate in cash handling.
• Takes initiative to learn and improve skills during slower times.
• Takes pride in doing their job well.
• Receive, check in and put away shipments of products or supplies.
• Must be able to comfortably lift 20 lbs, sit, bend, move with ease to perform the job requirements above.
Compensation / Benefits:
• $25/hour.
• 30-40% discount on products and 30% discount on treatments for yourself.
• May from time to time receive complimentary services as a treatment demo.
