An exceptional opportunity is available for a motivated, licensed esthetician to join a well-established boutique skincare practice in the heart of Union Square, San Francisco.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about skincare, values excellence in client care, and is interested in growing into greater independence — with the long-term vision of operating their own practice in the future.
This role is best suited for someone with at least one year of hands-on experience performing facials and client care, who is ready to grow within a supportive, high-quality environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for providing exceptional skincare treatments while gradually learning and managing the day-to-day operations of the practice. The owner will provide initial training, guidance, and administrative support; over time, you will be trusted to manage client care and operations independently.
This is a hands-on, client-focused role in a small boutique environment with no front-desk or support staff — making organization, professionalism, and self-direction essential.
Qualifications & Attributes
The ideal candidate:
* Holds a current California State Board Esthetics License
* Has at least one year of professional experience in esthetics, including performing facials
* Has a small existing client base or is beginning to build one, and is open to growing it further with support from the owner
* Is comfortable working independently and managing their own schedule and clients
* Is available for evenings and weekends to accommodate client needs
* Brings a positive, warm, and professional demeanor to every client interaction
* Is reliable, punctual, and respectful of client time and commitments
* Is open to learning advanced techniques, systems, and business operations
* Has strong communication skills (verbal and written)
* Is comfortable using basic technology: email, online scheduling systems, and google spreadsheets.
* Understands the importance of client retention, relationship-building, and results-driven skincare
* Enjoys educating clients and recommending retail products as part of holistic skincare care
* Is organized, focused, and able to manage multiple aspects of the client experience gracefully

Position Type & Compensation
This position will begin as a contract role, with the potential to evolve over time based on fit, performance, and mutual interest.
Compensation will be based on experience and background will be discussed during the interview process.
