Role: Founding Engineer
Location: San Francisco or Berkeley, CA (2x/week Hybrid)

The Opportunity
The role is ideal for an early-mid career engineer who has 2+ years experience in big tech or at a larger venture-backed organization -- you have an interest in being a founder later in your career and/or getting exposure to the earliest stages of product and company development.
This is by definition a high-risk, high-reward situation; you will earn meaningful equity that will be highly valued from Day 1 and could turn into millions; there also won’t be a safety net typical of a larger company -- we have to make our own opportunity. Your risk is mitigated by 1) meaningful salary even on the lower end, and 2) relationship with founder(s) that will help you find the next job again if for whatever reason this does not move forward -- that said, we have every expectation this company will achieve venture scale.
About You
• 2-9 years total career experience as a full-stack software engineer
• Do not need to be full-stop ‘AI engineer’ but exposure is helpful
• Experience with integrations will be important
• Interest in business, finance, GTM data analytics at least on intellectual level will be helpful
• Need to be a self-starter, solving technical challenges and learning new things gets you motivated; collaboration skills are likewise important

Engineering Angel/Advisor Appendix:
You're the first engineer and you own the product end to end: frontend, backend, API design, data model, and the third-party integrations and dashboards that are the core of what we do. You'll put the first real version in paying customers' hands, then keep shipping as we turn early traction into a venture-scale company. We work in tight, fast loops with low process and a lot of ownership. Ground floor, with the equity to match.
• Love owning things end to end and moving fast. You'd rather ship and iterate than wait on a perfect spec.
• Strong full-stack engineer (frontend through DB schema), comfortable building and debugging integrations against third-party APIs.
• Energized by ambiguity and picking up new things on the fly.
