What This Job Actually Is
You'll help people turning 65 understand their Medicare options and enroll in the right plan. That's it. No upselling, no pressure tactics — just explaining confusing healthcare stuff to people who need help.
The work is mostly seasonal. October through December is busy (Annual Enrollment Period). January through March is moderately busy. The rest of the year is slower but steady.
You'll spend your time:
Meeting with seniors (in person, phone, or video)
Explaining Medicare Advantage, Supplement, and Part D plans
Comparing plans based on their doctors, medications, and budget
Completing enrollments
Following up to make sure everything went smoothly
What This Job Is Not
This is not a get-rich-quick opportunity. It's not passive income. It's not "work 5 hours a week and make six figures."
It's sales. You have to talk to people, follow up, and ask for the enrollment. If you're uncomfortable with that, this isn't the right fit.
It's also not a salaried position with benefits. You eat what you kill. No sales = no income.
The Money
You're paid by the insurance carriers, not by us or the client.
Medicare Advantage pays around $600 per enrollment. Medicare Supplements pay $200-400. Standalone Part D plans pay around $100.
Clients you enroll pay you again every year they stay on the plan. Medicare Advantage renewals are typically around $300 per year.
Most new agents who put in consistent effort enroll somewhere between 30-60 people in their first year. By year two and three, your renewal income starts compounding — agents with 100+ clients are earning $30,000 or more in renewals alone before writing any new business.

Questions You Probably Have
Do I need to buy leads?
No. You can generate your own leads through community events, referrals, and networking. We also have optional lead programs if you want them.
How long until I make money?
If you're starting from scratch, expect 2-3 months to get licensed and certified. Your first commission check comes after your first enrollment, typically 4-6 weeks after the policy goes into effect.
Is this a pyramid scheme?
No. You're paid directly by insurance carriers for policies you sell. We don't recruit you to recruit others.
Can I do this part-time?
Yes, but your income will reflect that. Many agents start part-time while keeping another job, then transition to full-time once their book builds.
What if I have no sales experience?
That's fine. Medicare sales is more about listening and educating than traditional "selling." If you can explain things clearly and care about helping people, you can learn the rest.
This is a real opportunity for the right person. It's not easy money, but it's honest work that helps people and can build into a solid long-term income.
