We’ve recently launched our Local Business Spotlight program, which highlights the stories of locally owned businesses and celebrates their role in building strong, vibrant communities.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Local Business Liaison to join our team on a contract basis. This is an on-the-ground role that combines relationship-building, light content creation, and community engagement. This is a perfect introduction to Sales/Communications/Operations at a fast growing tech company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit participating local businesses to install signage and decals.
- Onboard new businesses to the Local Business Spotlight program. This program is free! It is more about awareness than having to actually sell.
- Build and maintain relationships with small business owners across the Bay Area.
- Gather stories, photos, or quotes that can be shared across our platforms.
- Boots-on-the-ground support of the rollout of new product features related to local business engagement.
Qualifications:
- Friendly, professional communicator with a passion for local businesses and community storytelling.
- Ability to work independently and reliably meet scheduled visits.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort using mobile tools to upload photos or complete simple forms.
- Access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license (travel throughout the Bay Area is required).
- Previous experience in marketing, community outreach, journalism, or customer engagement is a plus, but not required.
Role Type: Contract Hours: Flexible, part-time with potential for growth Location: Bay Area (travel required across various neighborhoods and business districts)
Pay Structure:
This is a pay for performance role with upside for hitting goals. This role is also supported by lead generation from HQ.
Payment:
- $25 for every onboarded restaurant
- $1000 bonus for every 50 restaurant onboarded
