Location: Transit Happy! Very close to Excelsior Library. We have buses coming every 1-5 minutes just outside our door; it's fairly easy to get around town or just about anywhere else within the city. It's also a short 10 minute ride or 12-15 minute walk to BART. If driving, there's street parking typically available within a block. Plenty of solid markets for fresh produce and all else within a block or two, along with a bigger Safeway about 10 minutes away. Laundry-wise, we mostly have 'delicate' clothing and have a spinner and dryer, but there's a laundromat literally across the street. We’ve considered adding a portable washer and dishwasher, but would first have to add a compatible faucet—something we’d love, but haven’t yet done. Neighborhood is more on the quiet, small town with dense city transit vibe.
Apartment: 2-3BD apartment with a split bathroom (no waiting as someone else showers!). We (32F) keep it fairly warm, both with wool rugs and a gas heater. There’s a small yard with dining table and hammocks. We also have plenty of training equipment you’re welcome to use (squat rack, barbells, plates, gymnastics rings).
Room: This room is located at the ‘back’ of the apartment. It’s a little colder at night than the rest of the apartment and is not as private/well insulated (one 'wall' is a divider and curtain, the other a covered window-wall).
Price: $825/month, which includes all utilities.
Ideal lease length: short-term, 2-3 months, but can potentially stay longer. Available now through January 1.
Roommates: I'm 34F, former engineer, and do ballet/gymnastics for fun. Toddler and I are usually out during the day exploring all the great parks of this city, and enjoying the various events and activities here. Roommate preference is for someone with a later evening shift or commitment, particularly between about 7-9pm, but we can be flexible.
