Hello!
I am looking to fill one or potentially two bedrooms in a charming 3 bed apartment in Lower Haight!
Move in date:
Flexible between Sept 1-15.
The House:
Classic SF Victorian on Page Slow Street in the heart of Lower Haight that has been recently remodeled and has a massive back yard.. The split bathroom has a claw tub shower with excellent water pressure. There’s a well laid out kitchen with a gas range. We have a modern in unit washer and dryer in a utility room that also provides bike, ski, and general gear storage. There’s substantial common closet space, and a large living room. Electric heat is controllable in each room.
The Rooms:
Room one: Sunny 12x16 bedroom with large bay window looking out on Page St. Built in fireplace with electric fire $2050.
Room two: Spacious 12.5x12.5 bedroom (or office) with a massive closet (room for dozens of fur coats, or whatever) $1900.
I'm interested in either filling both bedrooms, or only filling one and converting the second into an office or common space. In the later case, we'd need to hammer out the details but the cost would be ~$2950.
The rooms will be unfurnished.
The Neighborhood:
You know it, you love it, Lower Haight. Young families, Marina graduates, crotchety old timers. We’re on a slow street and a block from The Wiggle, allowing for easy biking from the house.
Blocks away from:
- The best parks- Alamo Square, Duboce Park, Buena Vista Park, Corona Heights, the Panhandle and Golden Gate Park.
- Amazing Coffee shops and restaurants on Divisadero and Haight St. as well.
- Grocery stores - Falletti Foods (7 min walk), Whole Foods (12 min) , Safeway (10 min)
- Public transit - the N is a 3 minute walk away
- Also a short walk to other great neighborhoods: The Mission, Hayes Valley, Castro, Haight Ashbury
Me:
Early 30s man. I love biking and running, and spend much of the winter in Tahoe. I cook at home a few days a week, and enjoy having dinner parties (including backyard BBQs). I prefer to keep common spaces pretty tidy, and generally have the house quiet by ~10pm. I work a few days a week from home.
You:
Someone who is clean, respectful, has a direct style of communication, is willing to share common chores, and does their own thing but is also down for roommate dinners/ game nights.
Non-negotiables:
No pets. No smoking. No couples unless considering the house as a two bedroom (totally fine if you’re in a relationship, I just want to make sure I understand who is moving in).
If you are interested, please respond to this post with a little bit about yourself- what you look for in a living situation/ room mates, what you do for work and in your free time, and if you have a LinkedIn or Social to share, please do!
