We’re looking for one more roommate for our 4BR, 2.5 bath, 1500 sqft end-unit townhouse in the Baker Beach Apartments (Presidio). The room is available May 1st, but we can be flexible and are willing to stretch this into June if need be.
The Space:
Bedroom available faces the back of the home and is 9'6" x 10' with the larger closet of the three non-master bedrooms.
2 floors: bedrooms and full baths upstairs, shared spaces below
1.5 bathrooms are shared with 3 roommates, second full bath is in master bedroom, half bath downstairs in common area.
Big furnished common areas, fully stocked kitchen, 4k TV with streaming devices attached, dining room table, bookshelves, plenty of furnishings.
Washer/dryer provided by master tenant, dishwasher provided by Presidio, two refrigerators in kitchen, large one shared with 3 roommates.
Quiet, clean, respectful, no-party home, few house guests.
Shared chores. The house is deep cleaned every 2-3 weeks (kitchen detail, sweep, mop, vacuum, dusting, windows, bathrooms, and other projects), and you would be responsible for helping with every other clean, so about once per month or every 4-6 weeks. Aside from that, regular upkeep is expected of each roommate. The home is equipped with a robust kit of cleaning supplies: washer/dryer, Dyson upright vacuum, handle held steam cleaner, professional grade Rug Doctor... everything we need to keep our environment clean, sanitary, and low scent.
Pretty much lights out at 10pm and this is basically a dry household. Again, it is very quiet and chill here. Not overly strict, but peace and quiet at night time is important to us. No smoking in the home. We don't look down on drinking or smoking, we just don't do that here.
Tons of outdoor access: trails, beach, backyard, garden, and more. The unit is situated right across from Baker Beach.
Two external storage units, plus off-street parking. The unit comes with 1 reserved parking space that we share. Additional off-street parking is always available. Which, is very awesome. There is only 2 roommates with a car here right now, so parking is super easy.
About Us: We’re two mid-30s and one 20's men, into things like cycling, surfing, climbing, science, gaming, gardening, fantasy/sci-fi, and cooking. We keep a calm, respectful environment and value clear communication. We are all liberal/progressive on the political compass. This is a very 'low event' household. It is a relaxing environment away from work and the city, and our goal is to keep it that way. One dog (Charles, 17 y/o. 40 pounds) lives here. Yes, the dog is very old.
Financials:
$1250/month + utilities (utilities bounce around $150, which includes internet)
$1450 deposit
$46 application/background check (via Presidio)
You’ll be added to the lease per Presidio policy. The lease will be renewed May 1st and is 1 year long. You'll be joining that lease, however you are not locked in. If you want to move out, we'll find someone to take the room and you'll be off the hook. Ideally, looking for a long-term tenant. Short-term is fine, but long term applicants will receive priority. This lease will be renewed for the foreseeable future, and this is generally a stable, low turnover home. I've been here almost 6 years, the other 30's guy has been here for almost 4.
