The place is spacious. It has three bedrooms. There are 2 room mates here and we are looking to fill the large room in the front of the house.
The neighborhood:
Laurel Heights/ Presidio Heights area is quiet, clean and safe. It is centrally located in the city. The house is walking distance from Target, Trader Joes and Laurel Village (which is where Bryan's Grocery, Cal-Mart and a myriad of little businesses like a book store, liquor store, Petes Coffee, a hardware store, susie cakes and a few other boutiques and eateries are located). It takes about 15 to 20 minutes on foot to get to Clement Street and the Sunday Farmer's Market there. The neighborhood has a movie theater (The Vogue) a gym (the JCC) and a number of other small businesses and restaurants.
The house:
We are in the flat on the 2nd floor of an independent house. It is an old building but our until was remodeled in the last couple of years, with a brand new bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom is spacious and has 2 sinks but is shared between all room mates. The kitchen is gigantic and is almost like 2 rooms. There is a gas stove, plenty of cabinet and counter space, a dish washer and a refrigerator that is less than 5 years old. There is a breakfast nook that can seat up to 8 people and it is lined with windows. There is a stunning city view from the kitchen. There a washer and dryer in a small room off the kitchen. The living room is smaller but has a comfortable couch and a bar and a flat screen will be going in too.There are 3 large bedrooms (yours will be the largest with a Bay window in the front. There is a smaller 4th bedroom that I am planning to turn into another living room, with a fold out double bed couch that will also be available as a guest bedroom.There is a huge basement with two storage units, one for us and one for the downstairs neighbors.
There is a huge back yard. It has a lot of plant growth. Right now I am clearing the growth and plan to have a dining table, chairs, lounge furniture, a grill and a small garden with herbs and vegetable completed in the next couple of months.It is accessible from the back of the house-there is a door that leads from the kitchen or from the downstairs storage area.
The room mates: Male Chef who is at a 2 Michelin restaurant, quiet, clean and not home often
Female entrepreneur and FOH restaurant worker who is often not home.
We both keep the place clean, pay bills on time and are respectful to each other and common areas and expect the same from a room mate. Rent will be due on the 25th of each month (first month pro-rated and a deposit will be required).
