Note: The room is available for viewing now. The first available move-in day is Nov 1st. (I will prorate the rent if you move in the middle a month.) This room is for single person only; I'm sorry no couples. (I room has a 6-month minimum rental, and we prefer someone who is looking for a longer-term housemate, like a 1 year plus.)
A very large room and beautiful room for rent in a nice house at the bottom of the hill in the Bernal Heights/Mission area. The room (See "Complete Room Furnishing" List below) has nice light with 3 large windows, 1 closet and hardwood floors. The room measures 13.5 x 11.5 ft, with 10 ft ceilings! There is also additional small (A few bins) storage space in the garage and room for a bicycle, etc. There is a washer and dryer available for free use. The house is 2 stories with a bedroom upstairs and the sub-lease rooms downstairs, so it adds privacy. One thing to note is that we don't have a Living room common area. There is only one bathroom in the house, so we will need to share it. There also is no car parking available in the garage/driveway. (But, street parking or easy Monthly Parking spaces for rental available across the street in a parking lot.) The house has a very sunny back porch and a large backyard. There are no pets and it is a non-smoking/vaping room/house. (Important note: this isn't a late night party house, more of a quiet place to relax.)
Complete Room Furnishings (Mostly All-New) Include: Comfortable Queen-size Bed and Frame, Pillows and all Bedding, PC desk, Wardrobe, 40" HDTV (~25 over-air HDTV channels), (w/ your Netflix acct), Nightstand, Lamps, a Desk and comfy Chair.
Nearby transportation: You can easily walk to many places, we are located near Mission and Cesar Chavez St, so there are a lot of businesses, restaurants, bars, and shopping. Also, there is a very nice 5-7 min walk up the hill to Bernal Park, with great views of the city and bay area. 1 min walk to the Mission st (14 bus line), 7 min walk to the 24th street BART station and Corp Bus Stops! 2 mins drive to Hwy 101 and 280! 3 coffee shops within a 5 min walk.. There are also rental parking spots available just across the street from the house (~1 min walk), in a parking lot for ~$275 per month from California Parking at 3115 Mission St.
We are looking for a mature, very chill and mellow, friendly and considerate person. Someone who is cleans up in the common areas and is respectful of others. This is a great room for someone who is looking for something that is quiet and private, as you will share the house with only two other male housemates. The room is off a main hallway to the Kitchen and Bathroom and does get little night traffic, so being "sound sleeper" is recommended. We are looking for a housemate that doesn't work from home everyday (1 day per week is OK), as it gives everyone some private time at home. Also, being a normal "Daytime" work schedule works best for this room. (Not a good room all day sleepers, for same main hallway reason) Also, it is best for someone who does not have a lot of household items, as I have it well equipped.
I'm a mid-50s straight male, who is very friendly, fun, and easy going. I am a responsible, clean/neat and friendly housemate, who is looking for a quiet and peaceful living environment. I'm into a healthy lifestyle, I love to workout, walks, ride bicycles and motorcycles, and enjoy SF life. I also love to travel and do often. I'm healthy eater. I'm a non-smoker and I enjoy a nice glass of wine, and an occasional beer with friends.
The other house-mate is a similar late-30's straight male, but a bit younger, is friendly and responsible. He is into Art and Music. He is sometimes out of town and not home much with his work. Again, you will have some alone and private time.
Rental cost for Sub-lease Furnished room $1200
Additional costs for Utilities/House Items/Appliances $220 (all except your food and cell phone)
- Utilities (Limited-PGE, Water, Garbage, Hi-Speed Wifi Internet.)
- Household items (Most Basic Household items, TP, Paper Towels, water filters, etc.)
- Use of Appliances (Washer, Dryer, Fridge, Stove, and Kitchen Items) - Major Appliances are owned by the Master Tenant.
Total Move in Cost:
$2420= $1200 -1st month rent + $220 Utilities/House Items/Appliances + $1000 Security deposit.
(If you move in after the 1st, I can prorate the first month's rent, so it could be less.)
