Typical responsibilities:
* Supervising the bookkeeping and accounting functions; ensuring controls and systems are in place.
* Managing month-end close processes, ensuring the financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) are accurate and delivered timely.
* Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and monitoring cost/expense trends.
* Cash flow management and ensuring that financial practices align with business strategy and regulatory/compliance needs.
* Reporting to senior management (e.g., CFO/CEO) and supporting strategic decisions rather than just recording what happened.
