It’s a one-on-one mentorship opportunity for someone who wants to build a real career in commercial real estate by working side-by-side with a broker in the field, on real transactions, with real responsibility and accountability.
I’m looking for someone who sees this as a career opportunity — whether you’re newly licensed, actively working toward your license, or early in your real estate career and intentionally choosing commercial as your long-term path. This role is designed for someone who wants to learn deeply, grow steadily, and commit to becoming a talented commercial agent over time.
Because commercial real estate is a relationship-driven, hands-on business, this opportunity requires someone who lives in San Francisco and is committed to working primarily in San Francisco. The mentorship and collaboration involved happens in real time - touring properties, meeting clients, working through deals together, and being present in the market day to day.
I’m a Broker Associate with Compass Commercial, based at our Van Ness Avenue office in San Francisco. I specialize in retail leasing and sales, as well as mixed-use and multifamily investments. I’m looking for a motivated, dependable individual to work with me - not for me - in a collaborative, one-on-one mentorship structure.
Compensation is commission-based and reflects your level of participation and contribution. In addition to shared commissions on team transactions, there may be discretionary bonuses during the early stages of the relationship as the business and collaboration develop.
About the role:
• A direct mentorship opportunity, working alongside me on active deals
• Not an assistant or administrative position
• Not a remote or side-gig role
• Ideal for someone recently licensed or actively working toward their license
• Also open to a residential agent making a serious transition into commercial
• Requires a full-time or near full-time commitment
• Based in San Francisco and working primarily in the city
What the work looks like:
• Attending client meetings and property tours
• Assisting with listings, research, and deal preparation
• Learning how commercial transactions are structured from start to finish
• Collaborating daily — in person — on business development and client service
• Gradually taking on more responsibility as your skills and confidence grow
