A growing full-service property management company is seeking a Junior/Assistant Property Manager. We manage a mixed portfolio of residential and commercial buildings (no condos or co-ops) and need a motivated and responsible person to help with and take ownership of various tasks. This is a full-time position.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):
•Tracking and monitoring property compliance with local and state laws; tenant insurance requirements; vendor insurance requirements
•Going to properties to post notices, meet with vendors, and meet with tenants as needed
•Correspondence with tenants by phone, letter, and email
•Assistance with large scale projects such as regulatory compliance projects, construction at managed properties, etc.
•Data entry and paper and electronic file organization
•Assembling mailings to tenants and owners
•Provide backup for answering the main office phone line
•Previous office experience, bonus for experience in a real estate or property management office
•Current California Department of Real Estate salesperson license preferred (or willing & able to take required classes and pass state exam to obtain license)
•Valid California Drivers License required (reliable access to a car is a plus, but not required)
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (and experience with Appfolio is a plus)
•An aptitude for providing customer service to clients, tenants, and vendors
•The ability to work independently to meet deadlines, be detail-oriented, and stay organized
