Gitzo Pro Studex Tripod: Heavy Duty Stability, offers considered
This tripod is probably overkill for studio use unless you’re using an 8x10 view camera, but outdoors is another story. Whether you’re using a 600mm lens or a 4x5 camera with long bellows, your camera becomes a sail in the wind, and you need the stability only a heavy tripod provides. I used it for years with my 8x10, but I’m now using smaller cameras.
This is obviously a Gitzo tripod; I’m not sure but I think it's a Gitzo 505. It appears to be their heaviest Pro Studex model with a Gitzo pan-tilt tripod head. The only thing that’s clearly labeled is the Gitzo 525 Rapid Center Column. Everything functions fine except the black grip is missing from one of the knobs.
Cash only; no shipping. We can discuss bay area meeting locations.
