Overseeing all studio operations, the Office Manager is the strategic go-getter who keeps the day-to-day activities of the business running efficiently, smoothly, and professionally — an expert administrative manager, organizer, communicator, and behind-the-scenes systems thinker.
Studio BBA is looking for an individual who will help represent the studio as a positive force in the design and architecture communities; create, improve, and standardize business and communications systems; and optimize the daily/weekly/quarterly schedule to support the studio’s continuing innovation and evolution. This person is confident, warm, and enjoys working with others.
About Studio BBA
Studio BBA is a dynamic atelier of designers who advocate for architecture that inspires human connection—creating spaces and places from the alchemy of inspiration, site, materials, vision and form. We proudly elevate the design profession through our commitment to high-concept, holistic design thinking. Our studio culture is intentionally cultivated to provide a safe, transparent, growth-oriented environment where staff can perform at their best while meeting the needs of exciting, demanding projects.
To support this, we are taking special care to create a working team of committed, enthusiastic, broad based thinkers who are dedicated to growing the studio with intention and love. A career here is an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to contribute your unique skills to a dynamic studio that is defining what it means to be a thriving diverse design studio in today’s world. As the Office Manager, you do not need to know our current systems before you start, nor do you need to know how to design, but you need to be a person who thrives in a constantly-evolving environment, who visualizes and executes smart ways to improve the workings of the studio, and is excited to represent the studio to the public in a way that enables clients to feel connected to our work and to our staff.
People who lack confidence, lack a strong work ethic, don’t take initiative, or who are not natural relationship builders need not apply. You are meant for this role if you are strategic, organized, and outgoing — with a strong interest in and appreciation for architecture and design. Ultimately, we are looking for someone with the skills and whole-hearted enthusiasm to grow the studio. If this is you, we are excited to meet you!
