Seeking a female lead vocalist but open to someone who may identify as female.
Do you also play an instrument? Can you play percussion (tambourine, shaker, etc)? Great! But not imperative.
Do you also write lyrics, melodies and/or songs? Great! But not imperative.
We are mostly interested in someone who is an excellent singer with awesome stage presence.
We are a theme band, meaning we dress in costumes and only perform songs based on the theme. We can give you more information about that if you think you’re interested in auditioning. But if that doesn’t sound cool, this won’t be a match.
We have about a dozen original songs and a few theme-specific covers. The genre is generally indie rock. Theatricality, satire and FUN are at the heart of what we do.
We are currently three members: guitar, bass and drums. Two male and one female. We all sing backing vocals and can do harmonies to some extent. We have a lockout studio in SF. We all have day jobs and aren’t trying to make a living off the band but we all have a lifelong passion for playing music. Our goal is to play a show every month or two. Maybe do a short tour eventually.
We are politically progressive and queer-positive. We are 420 and booze friendly as long as it doesn’t interfere with practice and shows. We are serious about music but try not to take ourselves seriously. A sense of humor is a must, as is dependability.
