Based in Quebec, Canada, Art & Lutherie (1979-) is a division of Godin Guitars.
This handcrafted 12-string features a solid cedar top, wild cherry back & sides, with silver leaf maple neck, rosewood fretboard & bridge. Dreadnaught size in a distinctive brown antique sunburst finish.
The guitar is in great shape, has a nice deep and resonant tone … with great projection, a decent bass, great midrange.
Action is quite good: 1-16” at the first fret, 1/8” at the seventh fret, 3/16” at the twelfth fret.
BUT NOTE: A previous owner has painted
the top left bout black, perhaps to “cover” some scoring there. This does NOT affect play or playing.
In all, a fine-sounding 12-string guitar at a very reasonable price.
