Price drop!! Up for sale is a used 2007 Reverend Manta Ray HB in Tobacco Burst Flame Top. I believe 2007 is the first year production was shifted to Korea. This guitar is one of the last Mahogany Manta Rays before they switched to Korina. Weighs a bit more. Great resonance from the solid milled center block/back/sides
From Reverend:
That guitar was setup on 9/11/2007. That is right around the time we made the switch, but it is listed in the serial numbers as one of the last batch of mahogany.
This has the Wilkinson EZ lock tuners with two holes instead of the thumbwheel design. Honestly a bit of a a pain in the ass and I mostly just used one hole and it stays in tune fine.
This is a semi-hollow body guitar with 2 humbuckers. It has a 3-way toggle switch, master volume, master tone, and bass contour.
The bass contour allows you to roll off some of the low end which makes the humbuckers sound more like a single coil but without the hum. The bass contour pot was replaced by the previous owner. Not sure why. The original will be in the case.
The frets are good and have minimal wear. The truss rod adjustment works with no issues. All electronics work correctly. The neck is super comfortable and the setup is good though you may well want to have this done per your preferences. There are a minor dings and scratches from the previous owner(s) which I've photographed and managed to capture too well. They are really only visible unless you get the light just right. Overall this guitar is in very good shape.
I also got this NOS pickguard off Reverend but it would need hole drilled for the volume pot. Will be included.
This is a great guitar but hasn't been getting played much of late so it needs to find a new home..
Comes with original Reverend branded hardshell case.
