The white pickguard was updated to mint green, and the fretboard was switched from the original Maple to Rosewood, adding a smoother note to the Strat’s clear, articulate voice. The American Original ‘60s Stratocaster keeps these refinements intact while adding modern feel and pickup switching to the iconic instrument that helped birth guitar rock as we know it. Original-era fans can rest assured every curve and line of the body and neck are accurate to the historic original.
This Fender American Original 1960's Stratocaster is an amazing recreation of the classic guitar. Featuring an Alder body a bolt-on Maple neck with a Rosewood fretboard, a classic triple single-coil pickup configuration and a stunning Shell Pink finish and a mint green 3-ply pickguard.
The comfortable thick 60s C shaped neck profile is sculpted for a vintage-style playing feel and is remarkably ideal for any playing style, and the Rosewood fretboard adds a smooth note to the Strat’s clear, articulate voice. The 9.5” radius fretboard is slightly flatter than a vintage-style 7.25” radius, providing a comfortable fret-hand feel and the Vintage Tall frets make it easier to bend notes without fretting out.
From the bridge to the string tree and tuning machines, every piece of hardware is just like the original and focuses on keeping you in-tune and intonated, so you can focus on making music. The 6-saddle string through body and Pure Vintage Single Line Fender Deluxe tuners are the perfect combination for effective functioning and stylish looks.
As an added vintage-style appointment, the nitrocellulose lacquer finish lets the body breathe with its true tonal character, it also ages and wears in a distinctively personal way.
Topped of with a stunning Shell Pink finish, a 3-ply mint green pickguard, aged white control knobs and pick-up covers and nickel/chrome hardware.
Comes with the period correct, vintage-style hardshell case and COA pictured.
