For many in the Sixties and Seventies (like me), a Harmony was one’s first guitar. Well-made, inexpensive, American—just right for a start in folk or rock ‘n’ roll!
And this Harmony 12-string is just a great example of that … folk version.
The H1269 was offered - in 1975 - as Harmony was ending its own long history. It was first made for the Regal brand in 1972, and it’s a step up in quality from the typical all-birch guitar.
Solid spruce top, mahogany body; X-bracing, low action. Dreadnaught size. Interestingly, this guitar features a neck that’s more narrow (1 3/4”) than most 12-strings.
Moderate action: 1/8” at first fret, just under 1/4” at seventh fret, 1/4” at 12th fret.
Keeping the price down in the spirit of Harmony guitars.
Comes with period but non-original chipboard case.
