Being painstakingly crafted from 13 plies of 1,500 year old Oak sourced from a river in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania and fitted with intricate laser-cut, exotic wood inlays chosen by Neil and portraying the artwork from some of Rush's most famous recordings, these R40 drums have become highly valued and collectible.
The 6.5x14“, 13-ply VLT Oak shell is sealed in clear, high-gloss lacquer and complemented by gold-plated hardware. Production was limited to Neil’s and a small run of 250.
This example is in great, used condition and includes original heads and matching case.
