Selling a *phenomenal* player ‘83 LP Custom in Silverburst. Some Gibsons are trash, some are magic: this one is magic. It belongs on a stage or in a world-class studio.

Pickups are original (still have the PAF stickers on the rings) and they scream. Amazing low and smooth action. I spent literally 21 years looking for a Silverburst worth buying until I found this one. Unfortunately a year later I ended up permanently disabled and can’t play. This guitar has maybe 5 hours playtime on it since I picked it up in 2016. Purchased from Chicago Music Exchange, and they don’t sell crap! Haha. But that means it had a pro setup in '16 and has unfortunately been a case queen since, so you're ready to go.

Cosmetic issues include: common wear on back of neck behind the first few frets, a chip on the neck at the 12th fret, four small dots on the top to fix holes from when a synth had been installed, and minor/expected buckle rash on the back. Headstock has never broken!

I want to stress: I’m not a Gibson fan, I'm a PRS player and collector, but I’m a huge Adam Jones fan lol. IMO 90% of Gibsons are unplayable. That’s why it took me 20+ years to find the one Silverburst that plays like silk, sounds like Satan, and actually stays in tune. You will be impressed with this instrument. Seriously, I expected to be disappointed with this instrument, for the 50th time, but within 30 seconds of noodling in the amp room at CME I was in love.

If you’re after one of these this is the one for you so snag it. The playability and tone far outweigh the minor cosmetic issues.

Unfortunately the case is an Epiphone LP case. Useful to get the thieves to look away, I guess. Lol.

Message me with questions, offers, insults, whatever you need. I’m around pretty much 24/7 in downtown SF for play testing - I only have a Spark amp anymore, because disabled, but if you put this guitar in your hands you’ll quickly see it’s a really special example.

Thanks for reading!
