condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: C.P. Thornton
model name / number: Professional
CP Thornton Professional model. Excellence in lutherie exudes from this jaw-dropping semi-hollowbody guitar with an intensely flamed maple top and a luscious ribbon mahogany back. Loaded with Lollar Imperials, Gotoh tuners, Tone-Pros bridge and tailpiece, ebony fretboard, with a five-way selector switch, with two positions splitting the coils of the humbuckers. Comes with a lovely tweed case, and all the tools and paperwork. Condition is excellent-near mint. The only real mark on it is the tiny ding on the control cover plate which I show in the photo.

Frankly, I never thought I'd part with it, and would love to see it go to a good home... I commissioned it directly with Chuck in 2009. After it was delivered, he told me that he knew the wood he used in this guitar was special; he could tell while building it. Check out Chuck's website and his amazing guitars. They are gorgeous and impeccably made. His credentials as a luthier are also impeccable, having worked for Dana Bourgeois, and Jon Cooper, the violin maker. He also is a great bass player (and makes an incredible bass).
