1970's Stella Harmony H6128 that has been adapted for use as an acoustic lap-steel guitar. If you like the tone of old cheaply-made guitars - great for blues or country - this might be the instrument for you. Plus it just looks cool, with old-style open tuning machines, a chrome tailpiece, and a batwing pickguard.

I bought this a few years back to learn to play slide guitar, since in its normal configuration, it has high action due to a slightly bowed neck (which has been messily repaired - see photos). I eventually decided to turn it into a lap steel by adding a nut extender and new wood and bone floating bridge (I still have the old plastic adjustable bridge). The new bridge also helps with tuning stability as you play higher up the neck.

In addition to the issues with the neck, this guitar has the sort of cosmetic issues you would expect for ~50-year-old instrument - there lots of chips around the edges, the finish has cracks (though it's still relative smooth), the tailpiece has some corrosion, and there is a bit of sticky residue on the headstock (likely from an old price sticker). I cleaned it thoroughly when I first bought it with a gentle vinegar solution, which got a lot of old grime off.

Comes with a old-style chipboard case, and I'll throw in a steel tone bar.

Willing to consider offers and/or trades for another acoustic guitar, especially any vintage archtop or parlor guitars.
