A high quality restoration of the iconic 1954 Lambretta LD 125. This example was originally registered in Italy in 1954. It was acquired from a collector in the province of Bergamo. This very rare and special scooter has been completely restored to a meticulous standard in recent years and presents beautifully. The paintwork is flawless and displays a deep, rich luster and elegant cream color. It has been checked and tested by our expert mechanics in Italy prior to our importing it to the US. It works perfectly and displays excellent performance. Comes with the original Italian license plate and documents from the time.
The LD 125 features the classic Lambretta Art Deco design with a step-through frame, allowing for easy mounting and dismounting. It has a rounded headlight, voluptuous lines, a roomy flat floorboard, and a comfortable solo saddle with a matching pillion seat for the passenger. The Lambretta LD 125 is powered by a single-cylinder, two-stroke engine with a displacement of 125cc. Performance is well suited to urban environments. The LD series was known for its robust construction, comfortable ride, and reliability.
The most classic of the Lambrettas from the early 1950’s, this model represented the purest essence of the "made in Italy" scooter and became an icon. The design, engineering and build quality were a significant step forward and led the industry. With this model Innocenti was able to establish a position as a premium brand and conquer the national and foreign markets.
