My name is Jarrett Visher and I am offering academic tutoring to students grades 6-12 in Algebra 1, Geometry, Physics, Biology, and English. I am a UC Berkeley graduate (BA in Psychology) and a Bay Area native. I have worked as an academic tutor at Balboa High School for two years. I am now offering tutoring services externally.
Overall, I provide a caring and well-structured learning environment. I help students bring curiosity, creativity, and problem solving skills to their course content. I help students develop awareness to the problem solving process itself and I endeavor to instill in students confidence approaching a wide variety of subjects. I have experience working with youth from many backgrounds with various learning styles.
I charge 55$ for one hour tutoring sessions. I prefer to meet at a local cafe to work with students, as libraries tend to fill up. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, or for reference requests.
