Looking for an experienced marine mechanic familiar with MerCruiser Bravo stern drives to perform an on-site inspection and diagnosis.
Vessel is a Monterey 340 Sport Yacht (twin MerCruiser 377 MAG / Bravo drives) located at The Harbor in San Francisco.
Issue:
After recent outdrive service, the gear lube reservoir level continues to drop while the boat is stationary in the slip. No visible leaks in the engine room. Boat has not been operated. Suspected lower unit or drive-related leak.
What I need:
• On-site inspection at South Beach Harbor
• Experience with MerCruiser Bravo drives required
• Diagnose source of gear lube loss (seals, vent screw, drain plug, carrier, etc.)
• Written findings / photos preferred
• No haul-out unless clearly necessary
• Independent assessment (not affiliated with prior yard)
Please respond with:
• Your experience with MerCruiser / Bravo drives
• Certifications (if any)
• Availability
• Estimated diagnostic cost
• Phone number
This is strictly a diagnostic request, not a full repair at this stage.
