Job Description:
As a Lime Operations Specialist, you are responsible for maintaining the availability, safety, and proper placement of Lime scooters and e-bikes throughout your assigned service area. This role involves collecting depleted batteries, installing fully charged batteries, deploying vehicles to high-demand locations, moving improperly parked units, and retrieving damaged or low-demand scooters for maintenance or storage.
Key Responsibilities
Battery Swaps
Locate Lime scooters and e-bikes through the Lime operations app.
Remove depleted batteries and replace them with fully charged batteries.
Inspect battery compartments and ensure batteries are securely installed.
Verify that vehicles are powered on and available for riders after each swap.
Deployments
Transport and deploy charged, fully operational scooters and bikes to designated high-demand areas.
Place vehicles according to city regulations and Lime parking guidelines.
Ensure vehicles are upright, organized, and easily accessible to riders.
Moves (Rebalancing)
Relocate scooters or bikes from low-demand or overcrowded areas to locations with higher rider demand.
Correct improperly parked vehicles and maintain compliance with local rules.
Improve fleet availability by strategically distributing vehicles across the service area.
Retrievals
Retrieve damaged, offline, abandoned, or low-battery vehicles identified in the operations app.
Transport vehicles to approved hubs, warehouses, or maintenance locations.
Report safety issues or significant damage requiring repair.
Requirements
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift and carry batteries and scooters weighing up to 70 pounds.
Comfortable working independently and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Smartphone with the Lime operations app installed.
Ability to follow safety procedures and city parking regulations.
Compensation
Lime Operations Specialists are generally paid per completed task, such as battery swaps, deployments, moves, or retrievals. Earnings vary based on location, demand, task volume, efficiency, and bonuses offered in the app. Workers who complete tasks quickly and consistently can increase their overall earnings.
Work Environment
This is an independent, flexible role that allows workers to choose when they complete tasks. The position requires traveling throughout the service area, loading and unloading equipment, and working with minimal supervision while meeting operational goals.
