Hello, I'm a reliable renter looking for a 1BR, 2BR, studio loft, or a room in a place with a housemate or two, ideally long-term but also open to an interim arrangement, ideally with a parking spot and in-unit laundry (on-site OK), $1500-$3200/mo. I'm an engineer in his 40s, responsible and considerate, available to move in now. I've gotten along grandly with housemates before. I don't have pets but am pet-friendly.
I have to move out of my current place due to allergy problems there with certain kinds of chemicals (for example, I have trouble with trace fumes from epoxy and similar glues), so it wouldn't work if anyone currently living in your space has a model airplane hobby or the like. More considerations along those lines: cigarette smoke residue would rule me out (prior 420 use is OK though), and laminate flooring wouldn't work (due to off-gassing from the plastic or glue used for it), while wood and tile flooring would be perfect, and carpeting is fine. The optimal scenario is if I can check out the place before the current tenants leave or in conversation with housemates who are staying on.
The allergies are the limiting factor here; otherwise I'm quite flexible. In any case, I'd be glad to hear from you or from someone you know who has a place that could work out.
