VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists is seeking full-time, part-time and relief for the positions of Client Service Representatives and Doctor Assistants to join our skilled team at our AAHA-accredited, 24 hour emergency/multi-specialty practice in San Francisco, California.

This is a great opportunity to utilize your client service skills, work with a dynamic team and expand your knowledge while working in a fast-paced environment! You will be challenged to use all of you knowledge, know-how and skills to the best of your ability, in a teaching hospital, with a team that will support you along the way.

The ideal candidates will be team players who are dependable, friendly, client focused, positive, have excellent communication skills, posses superb client service skills, are able to think critically, posses excellent problem solving skills and have compassion for pets and people. Please note that weekend and evening work is required.

Responsibilities include: greeting clients, assisting clients in person and over the phone, differentiating routine cases from emergency cases, scheduling and confirming appointments, inputting accurate and detailed data, managing the retrieval and storage of medical records, generating invoices, processing payments, consistently providing a superb client experience to both internal and external clients, working with emotional clients with compassion and understanding. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

• A high school diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professionalism
• Poise
• Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures and terminology
• Excellent computer/database skill set
• Ability to work as a member of a dynamic team
• Previous veterinary hospital experience preferred but not required
• High emotional intelligence
