Weekly Tuesday Evening Mindful Meditation from 7:00 PM - 8:45 PM.
Open To everyone...Beginners or Advanced Meditation Practitioners.
Meditation offers the opportunity to slow down and look within..."The depth of sitting in stillness with a compassionate heart is limitless. Rest the mind, body and spirit upon your cushion, offering oneself the opportunity to meet the natural awakened mind."
LOCATION: 2041 Larkin Street at Vallejo in San Francisco on Russian Hill.
Facilitated through the Mindfulness Care Center which was recognized by San Francisco Magazine and Voted The Best Of 2018 in "Mindfulness and Meditation."
Classes are offered on a dana/donation basis, no one turned away due to lack of funds. We are supported by the practice of shared generosity.
The meditation evening consists of a 35 minute sitting, break for tea, reflective talk and discussion.
The class is lead by Rik Center who began a meditation practice in the late 80's. He's cofounder of the Mindfulness Care Center, a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, SEP - Somatic Experiencing Stress and Trauma Counselor/Practitioner and has served as a Buddhist/Interfaith Chaplain at San Francisco General and CPMC Hospitals. Rik has been a community member of Spirit Rock Meditation Center and he's presently connected with Abhayagiri, a Theravada Thai Forest Monastery practicing in the Ajahn Chah Thai Forest Lineage.
Rik’s new book is soon to be published:
"If You Can't Change Your Mood, Change Your Mind...mindful refections toward self-discovery."
