Angelica pachycarpa Digestive Aid / KNF OHN Component
Angelica pachycarpa, or shiny angelica, is a biennial/perennial herb native to Spain and Portugal, known for its large, glossy, deep green leaves and creamy-white flowers in summer. It's grown as an ornamental for its striking foliage, attracts pollinators, and is deer-resistant, thriving in full sun to part shade with moist, well-drained soil.
Angelica pachycarpa (glossy angelica) is a plant traditionally used for its medicinal properties, particularly as a digestive aid. Is known for its aromatic properties and potential benefits to gut health and digestive function. All parts of the plant, including leaves, roots, stems, and seeds, are edible.
I use Angelica root in Korean Natural Farming (KNF), specifically as a component in the creation of Oriental Herbal Nutrient (OHN). OHN is a fermented tonic used to boost plant immunity and vigor. It traditionally consists of ginger, garlic, cinnamon, licorice, and angelica.
Grown naturally with only organic amendments.
