The Placer County Library is seeking a Senior Librarian. The Senior Librarian manages the day-to-day operations of a large library division, including overseeing the facility, the collection, and staff. As part of the Executive Leadership Team, this position plays a key role in the development of system wide programs and initiatives. The person selected to fill this position will be required to work evenings and/or weekends.
Experience and Training
Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience: Two (2) years of responsible professional experience performing duties comparable to Librarian II with Placer County.
Training: Master's degree in Library Science.
License or Certificate:
May need to possess a valid driver's license as required by the position. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
