Looks great for posted schedules, events, community board... really anything printed you'd like to display in a classical way.
I have a pretty knowledgeable friend who says he believes its made of oak and probably fairly old (possibly back to the 60's).
What I can tell you is, it feels solid and not rickety at all. I could use a little clean up (friend says any wood worker could make it gleam), but I liked the slightly used look for it.
Dimensions - 36" tall x 24" wide x 2" deep
They didn't have the key for the lock, but was told by said friend it's pretty easily replaceable if you need it to be locking.
