Founded in San Francisco's Mission District, Wise Sons is California-inspired Jewish deli food with roots in tradition and an eye on the future, for Jews who like food and food lovers who like Jews. SUMMARY:
This is a part time hourly position, with great benefits, joining our WISE SONS 24th Stre Deli, reporting to the General Manager. Weekends required.
Schedule (at the moment) Saturday and Sunday 12:30PM-8:15PM.
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for leading service, guiding and training new employees, and working with the kitchen team to ensure accurate ticket times and proper execution of menu items. The AGM is the direct support to the General Manager (GM), working closely with the Kitchen Supervisor when needed.
The AGM sets the tone for the FOH and BOH, ensuring the customer’s needs are met and food quality and safety are maintained. The AGM serves as Manager on Duty when the GM is off. Our ideal candidate has FOH or BOH experience (or even better - both), is available to work full-time, and has excellent communication/interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership abilities, and technical skills.

-- Strong organizational and time management skills
-- Manage Slack access to communicate with greater team, as necessary
-- Manage Deli email inbox
-- Help GM manage review responses on Google, Yelp, etc.
-- Help GM and Kitchen Supervisor with inventory, ordering, and enforcing meal and rest breaks
-- Flexible schedule; weekend availability required
-- Fluency with POS systems
-- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
-- Food Handler’s Certificate, or ability to obtain one
