The Sausage Factory is an old-school Italian American restaurant in the heart of the Castro, proudly serving San Francisco since 1968. With the Castro Theatre reopening in early February after a long hiatus, there’s a renewed buzz in the neighborhood—and we’re excited to welcome the increased energy and guests that come with it. We’re looking to add a positive, energetic, and reliable Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team.
As a Host/Hostess, you’ll be one of the first faces our guests see. Your responsibilities will include:
Warmly greeting and seating guests
Managing waitlists and guest flow during busy service
Handling to-go orders and answering the phone
Supporting servers and working closely with the rest of the team
The ideal candidate:
Enjoys a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Can multitask while staying organized and guest-focused
Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
Is eager to learn and grow within a restaurant setting
Schedule & Availability
We are open Tuesday through Sunday
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is required
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow—many of our past support staff have moved into server roles as they’ve gained experience and confidence on the floor.
Restaurant or customer service experience is a plus, but a great attitude and strong work ethic matter most.
