Our dinner service is a structured, set menu that follows the bathhouse. The role is not just about taking orders, but guiding guests through a full evening. We are looking for people who can read a room, communicate clearly, and create a calm, welcoming presence while maintaining strong pacing and attention to detail.
While this is a serving position, we value curiosity beyond the dining room. Over time, there is the opportunity to cross train and develop a broader understanding of how the entire Onsen experience comes together.
What We’re Looking For
- At least a year of serving experience, ideally in a structured or coursed environment
- Strong communication skills and situational awareness
- Comfort guiding guests through a set menu and managing pacing
- Ability to balance warmth with efficiency in service
- Interest in hospitality that extends beyond traditional restaurant roles
- Reliability and a calm, collaborative presence
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading guests through a set dinner experience with clarity and confidence
- Explaining the menu, ingredients, and overall concept in an approachable way
- Managing timing between courses to align with the flow of the evening
- Working closely with the kitchen and team to maintain a smooth service
- Supporting a space that transitions between quiet, relaxed energy and active service
