KAIYŌ Restaurant Group is seeking experienced, hospitality-driven Front-of-House professionals to join our teams across two San Francisco locations.

• KAIYŌ Restaurant & Rooftop Bar – Hyatt Hotel, SOMA (next to SF Giants Oracle Park)
• KAIYŌ Handroll Bar – Cow Hollow / Marina (Newly remodeled and scheduled to reopen February–March)
We are seeking passionate, hospitality-driven Front of House team members to join our teams across both KAIYŌ locations. These roles are ideal for service professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, understand elevated dining standards, and take pride in delivering warm, attentive, and knowledgeable guest experiences.
Our FOH team members will be responsible for guiding guests through the menu, executing service steps with precision, and collaborating closely with both FOH and BOH teams to ensure a seamless experience from greeting to farewell. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to anticipate guest needs while maintaining efficiency during high-volume service periods.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet and welcome guests promptly; listen attentively to understand food and beverage preferences, provide informed recommendations, and accurately take orders.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage offerings, to confidently answer questions and upsell when appropriate.
• Engage with guests in a warm, genuine, and professional manner to create a memorable dining experience.
• Monitor tables throughout the meal to ensure guest satisfaction; proactively address and resolve issues as they arise.
• Support overall restaurant operations by assisting service and kitchen teams as needed to ensure smooth execution.
• Prepare and present itemized checks; collect payments and accurately process transactions.
• Deliver high-quality food and beverage service in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment.
Requirements
• Minimum of one year of experience in a fast-paced or fine-dining, full-service restaurant environment.
• Working knowledge of Japanese and sushi ingredients, classic cocktails, and a broad range of back-bar spirits.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to service excellence.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and late shifts as required (up to 12:00 a.m.). Be on time!
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy, high-volume setting.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
