Native Co is a fresh-forward, women-owned, casual restaurant specializing in health-driven, accessible, and vibrantly curated breakfast, lunch and beverages that are primarily plant forward and farmer’s market sourced. We were recently voted “Best Avocado Toast in San Francisco” which is something we are extremely proud of. Our menu consists of made-to-order smoothies, juices, salads, toasts, and soups that have earned a following in the Bay Area. At present, we are looking for a full time cashier with two shifts available, Opening Cashier 6:40AM - 2:00PM and 9:00AM - 4:30PM. We are located in the middle of downtown San Francisco on 2nd St. with the new Transbay Terminal right behind us.
An ideal candidate for this position is up-beat, friendly, working knowledge of Square POS or similar system, knows how to work in a fast paced environment (our lunchtime rush is extremely busy), is a team player who knows how to help out even when it isn't your job, outstanding customer service skills with attention to details and is ready to be a part of an already thriving business that will give you the opportunity to grow along with it.
Cashier Job Description and Goals:
-Opening and/or closing duties, including setting up for the day or breaking down and cleaning for the next day’s business.
-Taking temperature readings of all refrigeration units and grab and go items throughout the day.
-End of day inventory of cold case items left over, sold via Ritual app and through Square.
-Operating Square POS system, taking orders correctly, processing payments and refunds, keeping work station and service area clean.
-Being familiar with the Native Co. menu. That means knowing what goes into our smoothies, juices and food menu items and being able to relay that information confidently to our customers.
-Be a team player, setting your teammates up for success.
-Helping out other employees with tasks in your downtime.
-One year minimum experience in a fast paced, food service environment.
-Cash handling skills
-Outstanding customer service skills, knowing it’s the attention to detail that makes the experience.
-Ca Food Handler Card Certification
-Motivated to create memorable experiences for guests by being on top of your game. You believe that making genuine interactions with guests is extremely important.
-Commitment to honing in your food knowledge
-Comfortability working in small space in close proximity to others in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a competitive hourly wage depending on experience plus tips, a pay-into Health Care program after 90 days and $15.00 food credit every shift.
