Located in Nopa, Early to Rise is one of San Francisco's most loved brunch spots, featuring an old-school menu, but with all of our major staples made in the house. We are proud to make all of our own breakfast meats (bacon, ham, sausage, etc.), breads (bagels, English muffins and so on) as well as butter, hot sauce, jam ... you name it.
We treat every job in the restaurant as a craft to be proud of and seek to create a positive, energetic work culture. We have an immediate opening for an experienced Server / Bartender. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, with the ability to manage a fast-paced thriving brunch experience for our guests.
The staff at Early to Rise is expected to work as a team, and members must be able to cover at least one other position in the restaurant, as need arises. If hired, you will be trained as a bartender and a floor server. Prior experience as a server, as well as a bartender or barista, is required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Provide friendly, courteous and efficient service to all guests with making eye contact, smiling and maintaining proper posture.
● Take orders and prepare any beverage off the beverage menu as well as maintain an extensive knowledge of the food menu in order to assist guests with any inquiries or suggestions.
● Handle cash till according to restaurant standards, following all cash handling and credit policies and procedures. Completes bartender close out at end of shift. Collects and reports all tips.
● Maintain a clean bar area and keep an inventory of needed supplies.
● Work as a member of the restaurant team and interact with our team in a positive manner and assist others when needed.
● Interact with people beyond giving and receiving instructions, particularly in resolving guest complaints.
● Anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are made.
● Follow proper time and attendance and uniform procedures. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important at ETR.
● Maintain an alert and attentive demeanor at all times in addition to remaining calm during periods of heavy business volumes.
● Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the Bar and Dining Room. Maintain the highest standard of hygiene and sanitation and follow Health Department standards for hygiene and safe food handling.
● The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Management.
● Able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
● Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
● Knowledge of the menu and beverage list and the ability to communicate clear suggestions to the guests.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
● Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time.
● Able to lift up to 25lbs. and on a regular and continuing basis.
● Able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks.
● Manual dexterity required to use and operate all necessary equipment.
● Talking, hearing and seeing (vision) occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, Supervisors and other Employees.
● Auditory and visual abilities to observe and detect signs of emergency situations
