We're hiring for a new member of the Mini Bar team. We're looking for a bartender with personality, intuition, and experience. Someone who brings craft cocktail knowledge and a genuine eye for the guest experience.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience bartending in a high-volume environment. Experience working in a full-service restaurant is a plus. Must work 2 shifts that include Friday nights and either Sunday or Monday night. Must have a current CA food handler's certificate, certificate of completion of sexual harassment prevention training, ABC Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certificate.
In addition to bartending shifts, this role includes limited part-time work (compensated at $25/hour) focused on community-building — think regulars-first mentality, local event participation, and dreaming up fun nights that bring neighbors through the door. This work is done in collaboration with owner and general manager.
This position requires a level-headed individual that can assess and prioritize multiple events and situations. All candidates must be detail orientated and constantly working to maintain a clean and organized work area for themselves. They must be able to move quickly, but also efficiently. Bartending responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Interacting and confidently addressing guest questions about the beverages served
• Expert knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and classic cocktails.
• Understanding and operating equipment used by the bar (dishwasher, keg system, Toast POS system)
• Ensuring responsible alcohol service, including monitoring guests in a courteous and safety‐minded manner
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of bar, back bar and inventory rooms.
• Having accurate cash handling and paperwork
• Delivering service with a strong appreciation for hospitality
• Have fun bartending.
If you're interested in becoming part of the crew, you can drop off your resume and cover letter with the bartender between 5 – 7 pm Sunday - Thursday. OR send both via email. Your cover letter should detail why you believe your previous experience would make you the right fit at Mini Bar. Bartending experience is a must, availability on Fridays and Sunday or Monday and only qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews.
