We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Event Manager Assistant to support our restaurant’s growing private events and catering operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hospitality and can manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment.
The Assistant Event Manager will support the Event Manager in handling event communication, administrative tasks, coordination with FOH/BOH, and day-of support to ensure every event runs smoothly and exceeds guest expectations.

Experience in hospitality, events, catering, or restaurant operations is highly valued

Comfortable working with FOH/BOH teams, guests, and vendors.
Organizational and Technical Skills
High attention to detail in documents, communication, and event prep.
Strong time-management; able to manage multiple events and deadlines.
Capable of handling administrative tasks such as contracts, forms, menus, and BEOs.
Proficiency with basic office software (Word, Excel, email).
Experience with Toast POS and Tripleseat is a strong plus.
Ability to learn new systems quickly.
Quick thinker who can troubleshoot issues during events.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability for event accuracy and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Event Coordination
Respond to event inquiries and guest questions.
Send Event Detail Forms, create BEOs, and process contracts and payment authorizations.
Ensure event bookings are accurately entered into OpenTable and tables are properly blocked.
Print and distribute weekly BEOs and Kitchen Order sheets; communicate key details to Chef and Pastry Chef.
Prepare event packets (BEOs, fire sheets, checklists) and create event-specific menus.
Set up reception and dining spaces for large groups.
Review BEOs with servers, highlighting special requests and service notes.
Complete post-event closeout: review paperwork, input beverage sales into Tripleseat, match totals with Toast, and send thank-you emails and receipts.
Catering Support
Update catering menus in Toast, Tripleseat, and templates.
Respond to catering inquiries and assist clients with order details.
Review delivery logistics and determine feasibility.
Print BEOs and kitchen order sheets and communicate orders to the chef.
Ensure proper staffing, timing, and execution of catering orders.
Close out orders and send follow-up receipts.
Administrative Support
Assist management with general administrative tasks as needed.
Maintain accuracy across event documents, menus, templates, and internal systems.
Support ongoing menu and system updates.
We are flexible in terms of hours of availability, however: 30-35 hours per week required Monday-Friday.
